Düsseldorf 19 December 2022 – The small organisation "Ukraine Flüchlingshilfe" (Ukraine Refugee Relief) has devoted itself to helping severely traumatised children and youngsters who have fled from war-torn areas of Ukraine to Germany.
This Advent season, Deutsche Rück and DR Swiss are supporting this important work and dedicating their traditional social sponsoring initiative to the association.
The organisation, under the professional guidance of educators, psychologists and others, offers the kids a wide range of diverse activities ranging from music, art, theatre and sports to holiday care.
A few weeks ago, we paid a personal visit to Ukraine Refugee Relief and the children. Some of our colleagues took part on location in helping the youngsters make table lanterns with the aim of bringing back a little bit of normality into their everydays lives.
