Zurich, 9 April 2025 - The Board of Directors of DR Swiss has decided on the succession in the Executive Board. From 1 July 2025, Achim Bosch will take over as Chief Executive Officer of DR Swiss from Frank Schaar. At the same time, Caren Büning will join the Executive Board of DR Swiss as Chief Underwriting Officer. The Executive Board will also be expanded to include a further member: the Board of Directors has appointed Stefan Ostermeier as Chief Financial Officer.
This will bring Deutsche Rück in Düsseldorf and DR Swiss in Zurich even closer together in terms of their current strategy, enabling them to work together with VöV Rück to optimally fulfil the role of risk manager for all owners, to optimise market business and to create synergies.
The Board of Directors has also made another decision regarding Frank Schaar: from 1 July he will be a member of the Board of Directors with a seat on the Investment Committee and the Risk and Audit Committee, where he will continue to support DR Swiss. The Board of Directors expressed their thanks to Frank Schaar for his commitment as CEO and for the successful collaboration over the past years.
